Welcome to the Snake Pit
Letter from the CEO
Your Chance to Go from Fan to Founder
Dear Future Shareholder,
At Copperheads RLFC, we believe fans don’t just back the strongest clubs, they’re built by them.
Across the world, some of the most iconic teams are owned by their communities. FC Barcelona’s 140,000+ socios don’t just wear the colors; they shape the club’s future. The Green Bay Packers have remained the pride of a small town as the only publicly owned team in the NFL, committed to their community and selling out Lambeau Field through both extraordinary seasons and tough divisional battles. Also, in recent history, AFC Wimbledon rose from nothing to League One within 15 years, simply because a group of supporters believed enough to build it themselves.
Now, it’s our turn to attempt a moonshot of our own.
Rugby league is experiencing explosive growth in the United States. The NRL’s Las Vegas season opener in 2025 drew over 45,000 fans, a remarkable jump from the year prior, when the upper decks of Allegiant Stadium went from closed to saturated with fans, all while U.S. viewership surged by 285 percent. Coupled with over a million unique site visits to the Watch NRL app, and 167% growth in United Sates based streaming the previous year.
The Vegas 9s tournament also doubled in size, growing from 16 to 30 teams in just one year. Your very own Copperheads finished 8th, falling only to the eventual champions, and by the narrowest margin of any opponent. That team, notably, was corporately sponsored and led by five former NRL stars with more than 250 combined professional appearances. All because of our Leadership's ability to recruit top talent across the Southeastern United States and Internationally.
This growth isn’t accidental. Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp, through its ownership of Fox Sports, and Lachlan Murdoch’s stake in the Brisbane Broncos, has invested heavily in the NRL, turning it into both Australia’s premier sport and a globally positioned media asset.
You might ask, “Why target the United States, where American football dominates?” The answer is it's entirely strategic and multi-faceted but ultimately based on timing. Key reasons include, broadcasting games in United States gives them access to partner with major global corporations that spend the most money targeting the richest country in the history of the world. Then the time zones gives Australian and UK sports bettors access to around-the-clock live action, filling gaps in the global Rugby League content cycle, thus allowing them to grow wallet share with their current core group, while introducing the sport to one of the world’s largest, fastest-growing sports betting markets. Intrinsically from a timing perspective, there has never been a better time to capture football fans sick of the extreme amounts of money now being pumped into what was formally the armature parts of our game, leaving them hungry for a gritty underdog story that no longer exists in NFL pathways domestically.
The NRL’s five-year commitment to Las Vegas is part of a much larger vision. In just three years, that initiative could evolve into a full-fledged professional league in the United States.
Meaning if we, as a community, begin building momentum now, person by person, and show them that a new top-tier professional sport can thrive here, we’ll have a legitimate chance to be part of those conversations.
Fortunately, we have the data to back it up. Southwest Florida has a clear appetite for live sports. Hertz Arena recently hosted a standing-room-only crowd of 7,648 for a minor league hockey championship. Spring training baseball at JetBlue Park averaged 9,746 fans per game. With the continued development of Estero Sports Park, we have a venue poised to host large-scale rugby tournaments, international fixtures, and your Copperheads in front of fans that would be motivated by our ownership model to keep showing up and to tell their friends to get involved too.
That’s why we’ve launched something different: a community ownership model that puts power in the hands of the people who care the most. When you join The Snake Pit, you’re not just buying a share, you’re claiming a voice, a vote, and a seat at the table. This is your club. Your opportunity. Your chance to build something that lasts, not just for one season, but for generations.
If you're ready to be part of a group that’s all-in on winning, both on the field and in the community, this opportunity is yours.
Let’s build it together.
With pride and purpose,
Curtis Goddard

If the club is sold and you’ve exercised your warrant, your pro-rata share of the 2.5% Class C pool will be calculated. For example, if net sale proceeds are $10 million, $250,000 would be shared among all Class C shareholders based on how many shares each holds.
